Tomato and Apple Chutney

Shopping list

120 g apples
70 ml water
1 g mustard seeds
120 g tomatoes, sliced
1/4 onion, diced
1/2 clove garlic
1 tbsp. sultana raisins, chopped
20 g sugar
1 g curry powder
cayenne pepper
salt
100 ml Tomato Vinegar

Instructions

120 g apples peel, core, and cut into slices. Place in a pot, add 70 ml water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, simmer for 25 mins. or until the apples are tender, stirring occasionally. Add 1 g mustard seeds wrapped in cheesecloth, to the apples, as well as
120 g tomatoes, sliced
1/4 onion, diced
1/2 clove garlic
1 tbsp. sultana raisins, chopped
20 g sugar
1 g curry powder
cayenne pepper
salt
100 ml Tomato Vinegar Stir until the sugar has dissolved.
Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer for 3 hrs, stirring occassionally, until a thick chutney remains. Remove and discard wrapped mustard seeds. Seal in sterile containers until serving.
Serve with chicken or cheese.
